How To Snorkel a Foreman
NOTE:
If you think that you cannot do this, then visit Triangle ATV ( www.triangleatv.com ) who manufactures snorkels for Honda Foremans. If you want to build your own snorkel, then proceed down the page.
If you follow these instructions, a jet kit will likely be needed to allow for the increased air flow.
First, you will need:
Approximately 6 feet of either PVC piping or pool hose, from 1.5" to 2" in size, the bigger the pipe means more air, the more air means more power.
Hose extenders and connectors for the gas breather, carb breather, brakes, diffs, and fan.
Some silicone or plumbers goop
A few zip-ties
Remove the stock air intake pipe. Place the PVC/pool hose in it's place, and ensure a snug fit. Then, run the piping either up through the fender after cutting it, or out of the engine opening for no cutting. Run it to the desired location, and secure it in place if you used pool hose. CB radio antenna holders work well to support it.
Once the intake pipe is in place, begin extending all of the vents and breathers (gas, carb, brakes, diff, and fan). Zip tie this in place with the pipe, and run it up the pipe also. Zip tie it in place at the top.
Now, begin sealing off the air box. A suggestion for this is to silicone around the hole where the intake pipe runs into the air box. Also, run a bead around the lip on the air box lid, giving it a tighter fit so it will not leak.
For safety, buy a nut and bolt that's about 1/2 inch thicker than the diameter of your pipe. Drill holes, and run the bolt through the holes, securing it with the nut. This should keep the snorkel in place even better. This step is shown in this diagram.

If you've done it right, your Foreman should be good to go. If you see a problem with my idea, please contact us. Same thing with questions.
